Salt & Pepper Squid

Serves 4
Preparation: 10 mins | Cooking: 5 mins

Ingredients:
500g squid, cut into rings or small pieces
1 cup Anchor Lighthouse or Snowflake plain flour
2 tsp Spencers Chinese five spice
1 tsp Spencers chilli powder
2 tsp Spencers white pepper
2 tsp salt
Vegetable oil, for frying

Method:
  1. Place flour, five spice, chilli and pepper in a large bowl and mix together. Coat squid in spiced flour mix in small batches and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and cook squid for 1-2 minutes until golden. Cook squid in small batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Serve squid with lemon wedges and your favourite Asian dipping sauce.
