Sticky Chinese Pork
Serves 6
Preparation: 20 mins | Cooking: 60-75 mins
Ingredients:
1 Kg pork belly
1 tsp Spencers garlic chopped
1 tsp Spencers ginger chopped
1 tsp Spencers Chinese five spice
½ cup brown sugar
3 tbsp soy sauce
4 spring onions, chopped
½ cup coriander, roughly chopped
Method:
- Preheat oven to 200°C or 180°C fan forced.
- Cut pork belly into 3 cm pieces and place in a large bowl. In a separate bowl combine garlic, ginger, five spice, brown sugar and soy sauce. Mix until sugar has dissolved.
- Pour spice mix onto pork and mix until pork is covered.
- Place pork on a greased baking tray and bake for 60 -75 minutes until pork is tender and crispy.
- Remove from oven and add spring onions and coriander before serving on rice or with steamed greens.
