Method:

  • 500g beef mince

  • 1 onion, coarsely grated

  • ½ cup Anchor Original Breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp. Spencers Mixed Herbs

  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce

  • 1 egg

  • Salt & pepper

  • Olive oil

  1. Combine the mince, onions, breadcrumbs, herbs, sauce and egg in a large mixing bowl, season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.

  2. Using wet hands roll spoonful’s of mixture into balls.

  3. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan.

  4. Add the meatballs and cook in batches, turning occasionally, for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.

  5. Remove and drain on paper towel.

  6.  Serve on platters with toothpicks and dipping sauce.
