About the Recipe

This meatball recipe is great for all ages. Perfect on its own or added to your favourite sauce.


500 g beef mince

1 onion, coarsely grated

½ cup Anchor Original Breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon Spencers Mixed Herbs

2 tablespoons tomato sauce

1 egg

Salt & pepper

Olive oil


Step 1

Combine the mince, onions, breadcrumbs, herbs, sauce and egg in a large mixing bowl, season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.

Step 2

Using wet hands roll spoonful’s of mixture into balls.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the meatballs and cook in batches, turning occasionally, for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.

Step 4 

Remove and drain on paper towel.

Step 5

Serve as is or with your favourite meatball sauce.
